The video clearly shows the yellow centerlines indicating legal passing zone. They also appear to be driving within speed limit of rural road (55MPH in Indiana unless otherwise posted). I am curious to know why you have a dashboard-camera.

While I can't answer for the driver, I can attest that the speed limit at the cite in question is NOT 55 mph.

If you were truly a local retired cop you would be aware of that.

Also, insurance companies LOVE dash cams as they provide clear evidence for making claims. I plan to install one myself

You wonder, "...why you have a dashboard-camera."

Are you serious? Do you really not know the advantages of dash cams?

To my knowledge there has been only one citation in the state of Indiana for dash cam use. That was a cop who applied an archaic law that predated the use of GPS and other devices that prohibits the use of video screens viewable by the driver. (This law would make rear view cameras illegal.)

Suggestions:

• Log on to YouTube and search 'dash cams".
Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HC8VvDbrVaA

• Stop pretending to be a retired cop and slow your ass down.

Okay Bubba here it is for you. If you read my comment carefully, you will see that I stated, "55MPH in Indiana unless otherwise posted". If the speed limit at that SITE (probably what you meant) is not 55mph, then what is it, and how fast was this vehicle traveling? Don't know, do ya? Even if this vehicle exceeded posted speed limit, this video does not show wreckless driving, in my opinion. Crazy driver? I don't see one. Disgruntled driver with dashboard-camera and attitude? Yep.
As far as the dashboard-camera, I didn't say it was wrong, impractical, or illegal. It's just unusual.
Not pretending, and I never said I was a local retired cop.
It's easy to misunderstand when you don't read every word and make assumptions. Remember the television show Dragnet? "Just the facts." Important to remember when forming an opinion or replying to another's comment.
Please pay attention in the future. Thank you.

Be careful Retired Officer.. This site is so ANTI-POLICE that you're likely to get shut down from commenting on anything if they think you are Pro-Law Enforcement. Ive posted several comments questioning some of their stories in reference to Law Enforcement activity, and they either fail to post my comment or edit it extremely, to where I don't even recognize my own statements.

One can see from your license plate your not local.

Pretending to be a cop, I understand, is illegal.

Pretending to be a retired cop? Maybe that you can get away with.

Again, slow you ass down!

What? Did YOU send in the video? Don't get all buttsore over nothing... (yet again, if you are the sender). I say that in parenthesis because I don't want to sound like a MORON and make really DUMB assumptions like *cough* someone else. Ugh. Why don't we talk about something worthwhile now?

It was in a passing zone and they did not appear to be going fast at all, they just accelerated enough to get around some slow poke. I understand that road conditions were not optimal at this time but people driving well under the speed limit cause alot of accidents too. if you cant drive. DON'T.
