Another case of children being left alone in a car... DON'T DO IT! I might add just because you've been arrested for neglect doesnt mean you neglect your children.

Seeking employment is hard enough expecially if you don't have a car, even harder if you don't have a baby sitter. Sometimes the only option is to take your children with you, this happened Wednesday when a couple was arrested for leaving their children in the car while filling our applications at Employment Plus.

When the couple arrived at Employment Plus they parked in a handicap spot right in front of the building and left their car running with windows up and A/C on.

The couple was in Employment Plus for about 45 minutes with their back turned toward the window before Ashley stood up and said I need to go check on the kids.

She went outside for 5 minutes came back in to use the bathroom and then went back to the computer room for another 20 minutes before getting up and headed outside to leave.

Someone outside had called the police to inform them someone had left 2 infants in a car. When police responded to the call they found 2 children, 18 months and 8 months in the car and questioned the mother.

Officers originally let the couple go because Ashley stated she only went in to use the bathroom but once the couple left officers went inside to get statements from the Employment Plus staff and found out the truth.

The couple was later arrested.

We have been confirmed that Ashley Townsend and Cameron Sampson were both arrested for neglect.

Well goodness sake. Starting a family without job security. Leaving infants in an unsecure setting. Parking in handicap parking. Maybe they should be on Social Security Disability Income (SSDI). It doesn't seem the brain is attached to anything but the reproductive organs. Not a rare condition by any means.
