Apparently, The Republic likes our supply of stories.

They are trying to steer it their way.

The ad above is on page 3 of today's Republic.

Problem is, they won't print most of the stories we get.

Besides, we have a lot more readers than they do. And people talk about what we write.

So just keep sending your story ideas to US.

Got a story idea?

Send it to us, not THEM.....

LOL

What is slander? The reason it is doubtful The Republic is wanting to replace the bland, dull stories they print with the biased opinions, slander, conjecture and rumors that you pass off as journalism. Yellow journalism at best. Go ahead, quote the First Amendment. Thanks for providing me daily with an eye roll and laugh.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA thats awesome! How about NOT republic.....we sent you stories for years and you didnt want them, ha look at you now begging for sloppy seconds! Columbuzz is where its at- oh yeah and you dont have to pay to read columbuzz either. Every thing (good or bad) gets posted here and I have not seen any "selective journalism" either.

"Selective journalism"? I haven't seen any journalism here. Juicy gossip? Sure. Reports of local accidents? Yeah. Poor spelling and misuse of words (duck work :-D )? For sure. Completely false and inaccurate stories? Almost weekly.

Singing the same song you have for years TheBigPicture - however as you say "false and inaccurate" "almost weekly" is a far exaggeration because we report what we're told. Only a select few will argue it is false reporting. As for the spelling - common mistakes isn't a bother to me.

That should be "common mistakes AREN'T (or better yet, ARE NOT) a bother to me..."

Unless, of course, you were being ironic. <grin>

obviously some people would rather read three stories in one day about a fire fighter in training who hasnt actually done anything other than smile for newspaper pictures... people complain about the spelling, grammar, and everything else, and yet they still read your stories, so i figure you must be doing all right lol
