We received this story last night around 8pm. *The expression or views about CPD is not that of Columbuzz.net

Wednesday night a man attempted to run his girlfriend over with his truck, it's reported he had been seeing her about seven months behind his wife's back.

The woman got fed up with the lies and broke things off, told him she knows she was in the wrong because she was seeing a married man, but he needed to be honest with his wife.

Allegedly the boyfriend tried to run her down because she broke things off with him. He has been saying he will divorce his wife, but hasn't.

A neighbor found her lying in a puddle of blood in the parking lot at Cambridge Square Apts after she had been hit.

The woman sustained severe injuries, her head is split open, she has road rash and she is black and blue head to toe. She is lucky to be alive!

When Columbus Police arrived on scene and learned what happened they searched and located the driver, but did NOT arrest him because he told them his girlfriend was chasing him with a tire iron. The problem with this is, no tire iron was found near the scene of the accident.

The neighbor didn't see it laying anywhere around. The vehicle has no marks nor does the man from being "attacked" or chased with any weapon.

The attacker also took off with his girlfriend's cell phone, and has been asked repeatedly to return it, but has refused.

The injured woman refuses to go to the hospital since she has no health coverage.

I'm concerned and think this is a serious matter. I wanted to share my story to justify my feelings about why I HATE CPD, they didn't do their jobs or investigate properly; because if they had he would have been arrested.

I thought leaving the scene of an accident was a crime.

If a cop investigates a case and doesn't bring charges then maybe no crime was committed. Just because there was no tire iron present doesn't mean there wasn't one there before. If you choose to date married people it casts you in a "dishonest light" and people will have trouble believing what you say. I feel sorry for this lady but the story you are putting forth doesn't make a lot of sense. If he intentionally tried to run her down I believe her injuries would probably be more severe. I guess the point is the "evidence" points more to the guy was just trying to drive away instead of run her down.
