UPDATED - 19yr old May Lose Eye after Being Hit by a Police Taser in Hope

UPDATE - Here is what we know currently, the initial idea of what happened to the subject is he got shot in the eye, now later it is said it was in the cheek.

This is a false statement to cause doubt about what happened. I bit of a stretch of the truth - the paper says "edge of his cheek" which if anyone knows is just below the eye. The cheek bone is what makes the socket of the eye up. How ever you spin it - the guy, Jacob, was tased in the face day of training.

"I have heard that he didnt get hooked in the eye it was in the Cheek Bone and in the neck he didnt lose a eye and he is seating in jail at this time.

They actually had the Taser aimed on his back mid torso and they were telling him to stay down. Of course he moved as they Tased him.

Hope PD spent all day yesterday in the heat at the firing range qualifying with their shotguns, pistols and Tazers" - we have confirmed Hope PD was in training yesterday.

We now have received info from Hope Volunteer Fire Dept who were on scene, they verified he was Tased in the eye socket (edge of his cheek) and the doc's removed the Taser probe in the ER.

We're told the male arrested last night well... - "He had on women's panties, a padded bra and a black spaghetti strap woman's tank top". When police stood him up his genitals were exposed and not contained by the woman's underwear.

Source said he was drunk, and ran from the police so he wouldn't get arrested for being drunk. He was arrested for public intoxication, illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

We're told Jacob Caldwell was arrested and a photo of the injured eye may be floating around.

We have also spoken to Channel 13 about this, and hopefully they will do a story on this tomorrow - tonight. They were already 'all filled up tonight' said the reporter at the station.

Reports coming in that Shuan Wagner, a Hope Reserve, allegedly deployed his Taser last night (7/21/12) around 1130-45pm on a 19yr old, who says "he was drinking a glass of wine with some friends, passed out, and when he woke up he was wearing women's panties and a dress."

How the officer came in contact with the 19 yr old is still unclear, but Res. Offcr Wagner became involved in a foot pursuit trying to catch the 19 yr old suspect.

The 19 yr old decided to "make fun" of the officer during the chase; so Wagner deployed his Taser striking the 19 yr old.

Allegedly the Taser’s hook-like prongs embedded in the man’s neck and the other into his eye socket which hooked in the bone then delivered a blast of electricity and now they cant get it out.  This is a serious injury, one that could cost the 19yr old his eye.

More info to come if we get it...below is a photo of what one type of Taser probe looks like. They have little hooks on them like a fish hook does, so it latches on and won't let go. U do not want to be shot with a Taser.

Earlier reports on Facebook sometime around 11pm - "To all that live in hope there is a strange man running around Hope that is drunk and running through town in what we believe r womans thongs and a backpack on with a jug of alcohol.....my husband had to chase him away he was trying to get in the saw mill!"
