Dethatching is one of the worst things you can do to a lawn during drought.
Thatch retains moisture and protects lawns from excessive heat stress.
Our lawns are already suffering greatly. Dethatching, any time soon, will be a sure death sentence for your lawn, or at the least, diminish any hopes of a drought-stricken lawn to recover.
Suffering lawns in our area should not be dethatched at all this year.
Does this company know what they are doing? I don't believe so.
