Justin A. Bowles, 30, was arrested late Monday after a chase that went about 20 to 25 mph, police said. Sheriffs department said he was booked for resisting law enforcement, habitual traffic violator, possession of controlled substance. During the chase, Young saw Bowles throw an item of out his SUV, Myers said. He said other officers arrived and found the item, which field tests showed to be more than 14 grams of heroin with a street value of more than $2,000.

Sources say a drug bust went down at 11th and Union around 11pm last night when police attempted to pull over a White Explorer.

The driver is reported to have fled from the stop, then witnesses said the driver tossed items out of the window covering the road with some type of power.

"a cop seen them throw something out the window when he tried to pull them over and have it blocked so they can find it"

Police did close 4 street blocks both ways and at the curve of 10th street before it turns into 11th so they could look for and pick up evidence.

One person who witnessed it said, "it started on tenth as a traffic stop and the guy took off, the guy in the white explorer was throwing bags of cocaine out the window. It was all over the road. The guy ran on foot, and the police let the dog loose capturing the guy."

Another witness said "I seen the whole thing from my front porch I seen one big bag and several small bags of coke or meth Layin in the road"
