This has happened to the best of us, as soon as the door clicks - you realize you've locked your keys in your car. Even for our police force, they aren't above needing their car unlocked. However it is believed the Sheriff won't unlock our cars, but will for CPD. :) This occurred near Penn Station on National Road.

The last I heard, County Sheriffs and Deputies will take, and respond to, calls to unlock citizens vehicles, but the City Police will not.

The last comment is true. CPD will not unlock a vehicle unless there is a safety issue i.e. Child or animal locked in the car. The Sheriff will come unlock your vehicle if you are outside city limits or on county property.

You don't have to be outside city limits for the Sheriff's Department to unlock your vehicle.
