Christopher Schilling reports he won't be adopting a pet, drats!

I open the paper today to read about how, Chris Schilling,a Republic something, talks about how he despises responsibility and would rather pamper himself on vacation than take an animal off the streets and give it a good home.

He blames his feelings on his friends, claiming they only want him to have a pet so they can reap the rewards but leave him to caring for it. The nerve of some people.

He commends the Animal Shelter for turning into a no kill zone, but says "but don’t look for me to come for an adoption, I’m hardly an animal lover."

I can't believe Christopher doesn't like animals, if their his own, but if they belong to someone else it's like visiting a friend you just don't want to see.

He does mention how he likes to look - but not touch, I guess that motto fits in almost any situation. He even makes fun of his girlfriends parents dog, Suki, saying it is funny. 

I hope Chris understands it isn't always about him - but he sure does make it sound like it is. :)

I hesitated to write this article because I know how passionate animal lovers can be. This should solicit more unwanted advice to Chris.
