5/30/12 - The Pastor and members of Apostolic Truth Tabernacle do not condone, teach, or practice hate of any person for any reason. We believe and hope that every person can find true Bible salvation and the mercy and grace of God in their lives. We are a strong advocate of the family unit according to the teachings and precepts found in the Holy Bible. We believe the Holy Bible is the Divinely-inspired Word of God and we will continue to uphold and preach that which is found in scripture. - ATT Website

The toddler, 3, sings the anti-gay verse — “I know the Bible’s right, somebody’s wrong- Romans 1 and 27, ain’t no homo going to make it to heaven” — with one person shouting, “That’s my boy!”

 He is applauded by a standing audience with a "thunderous applause" after the hate-filled song. A member of the congregation is proud and said;

"Of course we applauded a child who is singing a song about God." and "the people who are upset just don't read the word of God. If we don't teach the children the truth early they will never learn."

The video was posted online May 29th went viral claiming it was a hate crime for the church to support such a song. Death threats has caused the pastor of the Apostolic Tabernacle to take a vacation in a secluded place with his family.

In the video, Pastor Jeff Sangl can been seen in smiling and nodding in approval behind the unidentified youth which has caused him to be the target of death threats.

Gawker writer Neetzan Zimmerman likened the video to child abuse.

“What makes this particular demonstration of intolerance so shocking is just how young this congregant is. Believing him to be no older than five, some are calling the church’s treatment of the boy out-and-out child abuse.”

Others were appalled by the congregation’s overwhelmingly positive response to the performance.

“Listen to the applause he’s getting for spouting hate!” wrote one commenter on YouTube.

Author Anne Rice, who is gay, posted the video on her Facebook page, writing: “In this country, Christians can teach toddlers to hate and to persecute, and we, through the automatic tax exemption for churches, foot the bill.”

So Ellen Degenerate can have little brainwashed boys on her show saying they will vote for Obama because he wants gays to marry, but these people can't disagree? **** this country and gay rights. I think it's great.

Ellen wasn't spreading hate but was supporting love. It is wrong for a church to teach children to hate anyone. No one knows how God is going to judge anyone until we stand in front of him so to teach a child to say someone isn't getting into heaven is wrong. I would not be proud if my 3 year old granddaughter was taught to sing that song. This is disgusting and anyone who supports this is wrong. Teaching your children to hate and discriminate against others is wrong and part of what is wrong with this country. Using the bible to hate others is wrong.

I know two lesbian couples, and I KNOW they have a place in Heaven for all that they do for others, and putting others first, one couple provided sandwiches in their neighborhood during the flood...it's what on the inside that counts.

Only God has the right to judge someone innocent or guilty of sin. Your phrase should be, "I 'think' the will be in heaven"

A young boy singing 'ain't no homo going to heaven' is hate.

Thinking it isn't hate is hate.

Seeing it as okay is hate and scary.

Being in a so-called Christian congregation and giving a standing ovation to the crap the boy is singing is hate.

Being a so-called preacher allowing it to be sung is hate.

The church should be closed down. God will close it just like he did Milestone Ministries.

I am as straight as an arrow. I have a few gay friends.

This makes me hope someone burns that church down. Give them a preview of what hell they are going to face one day.

Then they won't have to worry about 'no homos'.....

According to the new rules to be abided by on Columbus, THIS COMMENTER JUST ISSUED A SERIOUS THREAT, and yet it was posted anyway. To say "I hope someone burns that church down", might just be enough to induce some messianic psyco to do just that. HELLO is anyone for real here or is this all a joke. I'm shocked no one caught this. Lots of churches have been torched in Indiana and elsewhere.

Oh my! The Bible does speak against homosexuality ... that is a fact! But what happened to the part where it says to use wisdom in all things? I have to agree that this is incredibly inappropriate! In no way does that song worship God... which is what music should be about. Terrible song! Should never EVER be associated with a Christian! I do not for one second believe that Christians should turn their backs on believing what the Bible says... cuz I believe with all my heart that every word of the Bible is the inspired word of God... and I answer to God, not the world (and people will hate me for it .... which the Bible says that too) ... but I do disagree with this song even existing! Who are any of us to say who is and isn't going to enter the gates of heaven? Aren't we supposed to be a shining light and example for all who do not know him? Teaching a young child what the Bible says is a good thing ... teaching a child to sing "ain't no homo gonna go to heaven " is not! How is a little kid going to know how to process that? God hates sin ... but he does not hate people. We are supposed to be winning souls ... not sending the message that there is no hope for sinners. God forgive us when we do stupid things and search our hearts... show us the error of our ways .

When man is mentioned in the Bible it's reference is mankind not a gender.

Well then, do the math for a second, Brick.

If you are correct, then the Great Mystical Tome is suggesting that we - meaning any of us - are prohibited from "laying with" our own species (assuming, of course, you include women as being part of "mankind"). What are you suggesting, exactly? (Hmmmm, do you perhaps live on a farm?)

But I suspect you are NOT correct. Which is reassuring, because you are exactly on target about that stupid, awful "burn the church" comment above. And the chances of you being right TWICE in a single day? why, it just boggles the mind!

Interestingly, I have found the references referred to as being against homosexuality, but all those references have to do with man-on-man relationships. So if every word of whatever edition of the Bible you happen to be using today is direct from the Chief, then I guess those girl-on-girl websites aren't really sinful, after all.

Or, then again, all this could just be a bunch of BS (is that cussing?), and the decision of who does or does not get into Heaven might actually be up to the Landlord.

(Disclaimer: I am in no way a biblical scholar - but I do know how to Google.)

That sounds like hate to me.
If there is a fire at that church, the F.B.I. will probably come a knockin' at your door.

They should turn the IP address over to authorities any way. Only a sick mind would suggest arson, which would endanger innocent responders. You don't yell FIRE in public places.

I did not issue a serious threat. I simply said I hope the church burns down, and I do.
Is it a threat if I say I hope gas prices go down? What if I hope your arm falls off? Is that a threat?
No.
The threat is the church teaching garbage to a 3 year old. That is a threat to society.

A fire can actually be put out and the building can be rebuilt. Now I hope the ground opens up and takes the church back to hell. There how is that for a threat?

Well I hope that they give that 3 year old his own show on TBN so he can preach the truth to a much, much wider audience...in fact I would like to know how so many of you people think this is "hate" when this child is expressing his opinion and interrupting the bible as he sees it. You are aware of the Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion? Aren't you?

Seriously. There is something wrong with a 3 year old child knowing what a "homo" is. Does this child read the bible himself? Does the bible use the term "homo"? Was this really his interpretation? Did he write the song himself?

In my opinion, brainwashing this innocent child is pure evil.

You said "I hope SOMEONE burns that church down", not that omitting the word someone makes it any better. You still totally overlook the jeopardy emergency response crews will be placed in if your hope is satisfied. Your logic is askew. <NEXT>

The threat is the church teaching garbage to a 3 year old.

It is your belief that it is garbage.
It is this congregation's belief that it is not.

Are you familiar with the Bill of Rights?
I think this situation is wrong, for a few reasons, but it is not hatred. It is Freedom of Speech.
These people, as U.S. citizens, have the right, under the 1st Amendment, to express their beliefs, whether right or wrong. Neither they, nor you, know who goes to Heaven (if indeed there is such a place), and who does not.

Homosexuality is a concept that children should not be versed on. Their juvenile brain, and lack of life experience, makes them ill-equipped to properly process such a subject.
Also, I think that such a belief should not be expressed in such a seemingly celebratory manner, however it is their right to do so.

Hatred is a word that can be used to describe the emotion of someone who attacks another for their beliefs. ESPECIALLY when that belief cannot be proven one way or the other.
