Police chase down Brooks Street ends in arrest

He had a suspended license reports said, so he took off when police attempted to stop him and tell him to turn on his lights during the foggy morning.

A high speed chase down Brooks Street caused a man to lose control of his vehicle and smash into a Van driven by Jennifer Hardin, 33, of Columbus at the intersection of Indiana and Brooks St. 

That is when Dwayne Lee Thomas, 39, of North Vernon, took off on foot leaving the scene of an accident making it a hit n run. 

The driver was arrested on scene after police caught him on foot says witnesses. 

Ronnies Body shop was dispatched to pick up the vehicles.
