Does RockyFord and Marr intersection need a stop light?

From Facebook "I was wondering what you thought, and if you would mind polling your subscribers the following: Is the intersection at Marr and Rocky Ford busy enough to warrant a traffic lights?

It's unquestionably big enough, as it has 10-12 lanes.

My problem is that people have trouble navigating a standard 4way stop and this intersection is a nightmare not only because of the extra lanes, but because of the distance from one side to the other... it is crazy."

I have driven through this intersection as many have hundreds of times, I don't think I have ever known of a crash that has happened there but maybe one has long ago. - admin

No it doesn't. Been through that intersection all directions in a wheelchair many times. What it needs is qualified, courteous, and alert drivers as do all intersections.

I agree with Olden, this would have been a perfect location for a traffic circle!

This intersection and the one at Rocky Ford and Taylor Rd were made that large so the city could waste even more money on roundabouts. Watch your millions float away unless Mayor Brown puts a stop to it, and I hope she does!

Interesting. Maybe someone wants to have an aerial view of pavement circles through out the city.
