If you haven't heard already about this quaint little eatery here in Columbus, you will soon...

Soups by Design restaurant is a small eatery just off Washington Street tucked away from site. The entrance is in the walk path along side Dell Brothers Clothing, or you can enter in the ally behind the parking garage. As you walk in you're greeted by the luscious aroma of flavor and as your mouth starts watering you're in awe of the wide variety of soups you grew up with as a kid.

Soups are made from scratch (packaged in a special way to last 28days before use) and the taste will hit your pallet with a wallop of flavor; making you want seconds. They have salads too, and for $5 you will get full...

The restaurant has been open about 4 weeks now, and the place is always packed! Finding a seat isn't so difficult since the flow of people is consistently moving.

You can sample each of the soups before you buy; who can go wrong with sampling? Once you discover your taste for the day you get a heaping bowl of soup, 2 pieces of fresh bread, a cookie, and a drink all for $4.67 and with tax making it $5.

I think it is the cheapest in town; if I had to decide where to eat for lunch it would be a toss of between the Soups by Design and Zwanzigz pizza with that in mind Papa's Deli doesn't even stand a chance with this place because... it's Cheap! it's Good! it's Fast!

I would recommend you to try this place out for lunch and even supper... of the soups you might fancy is the Buffalo Chicken, it's a bit spicy but worth the try. If you're looking for a bland taste and fancy potato soup, try the loaded potato. SAMPLE IT FIRST.

They are located at 424 Washington Street Suite 2 here in Columbus. They do deliver using a scooter and box, but trying to get ahold of them is almost impossible. Their hours are Monday thru Friday from 10am-7pm , they have Carry Out, Dine IN, and Limited Delivery.

The only downside to this place is those who have a disability and are confined to a wheel chair - there isn't access unless it is through the front of the building but we're not for sure about entering from the front of the building on Washington St.

I'm more likely to get a salad. I love some soups, but if they aren't kept at a certain temp ALL the time, they are a huge culprit of salmonella poisining. I avoid them at all costs, just for this reason. When I still worked, we had a gentleman who got extremely sick, and it was traced to him having soup at a salad bar. He even had to go on the vent, and he almost bought the farm....
