Columbus Transit Director, Sue Chapple, neglects disabled

Fox59 does an undercover story on Columbus Transit Director, Sue Chapple. Reportedly, Sue has been denying disabled people from using the Call-A-Bus and instead she has scheduled the bus to transport her drunk friends to work.

We have emails dating back to 2008 telling Sue about the disabled and elderly not being able to use the wheel chair ramps, or passengers being harassed by the drivers. Even drivers missing stops because they were behind schedule. Was anything ever done, as far as we know NO it wasn't.

It was good seeing Mayor Fred on the news again standing up for the City, but keep on hoping, because he never wants to be on the news when he is asked about his employees or because of improper use of City property.

The Transit bus system hasn't been traveling the entire route of the City limits because it takes too long. The signs that say welcome to Columbus near the Mill Race Center is placed to make you think you have entered or reached City limits.

The sign is misleading and should be placed near Lowell Road and the bus should travel further than it currently does. A new bus route would accomodate more families needing to benefit from the transit system. Maybe our new Mayor Kristen Brown will extend the bus service to the correct route.

We asked what the City is doing about the allegations against Sue, they responded "It has been investigated and Sue is clear of any wrong doing."

I had to again compliment this site for printing this article, especially for those who don't get the paper. I'm not sure when this was on, but my sweetie saw it, and I know it was a few days ago. I wonder why the Republic hasn't print it?? At least we haven't seen anything in the paper. It really disappoints me those in postions * the city, in anyway, abuse their powers. It tarnishes our city.

How did they abuse their power?

Do you know for a fact that the tv report was accurate?

Do you know for a fact that the lady who works at Ziggy's doesn't have a federal form on file that says she qualifies for a bus ride?

Do you know for a fact that they treat people poorly?

Or, do you know that this was all brought on by someone who doesn't work there anymore?

Does the city have the right to fire employees who aren't doing their job?

I think you should see the news report, do a little investigating and then ask the Republic why they didn't print anything - maybe they know there is no story here??

Just because a story appears on Indianapolis TV does not, in and of itself, make it true. This "investigative" report appeared ONE place on ONE television station.

It has not appeared AT ALL in/on:

THE INDIANAPOLIS STAR
THE COURIER-JOURNAL
THE REPUBLIC
WRTV
WTHR
WISH

Perhaps, just maybe, it's not based on facts. It seems we just had an election during which a candidate sent out a "press release" vilifying her opponent which it turns out was not true. Maybe, just maybe this is a disgruntled employee.

Just because it doesn't appear anywhere else, doesn't mean it isn't valid.

A creditable news agency took their time to follow, document with time sheets and more, with a former employee who is telling what they know happened.

So because of this she is classified as disgruntled. I think not, she is finally breaking silence against the wrong doing of her boss.

More people should come forward against agencies who are breaking the rules requiring their employees to do what is ethically wrong, but because the employee's need jobs, DO IT.

Does it make it right or is it people can't afford not to.

Once again, do you know for a fact that the news report was accurate? How many times have each you had something in the newspaper, or one the news that you knew as wrong? When someone makes charges like this, don't you think it is investigated, looked at, etc? Why do you think the former employee is a 'former' employee? Maybe she was the one makeing the mistakes that were found? Maybe, rather than looking for a new job, she is spending all her time trying to 'get back' at the transit department. And, to paraphrase the administrator - does just because the former employee said it, make it true? Again, just wondering. I'll bet we don't hear another thing from Fox 59 on this matter, because it isn't true!!

You abuse powers when you do things that are NOT in the job description...I think TV stations get their facts before reporting. We don't stay up late enough to watch 13 news, our prefered news. Maybe Bob Segull from there can get to the bottom of this again!!!

I doubt this would be in the Louisville paper or the Indy paper, as this is just another case of an employee doing wrong.

Now if this was a murder investigation, maybe it might make those papers. I wonder if the article of the 13 yr old with 2 pounds of pot will make it to the Louisville paper LOL...

Perhaps you should face the facts....

Oh you missed The Herald Times...that's closer than Indy and Louisville LOL
maybe admins you can put all my posts under this as one...Why would the republic print something negative about a city employee. They are most biased, and pick and choose their stories, and this is one they would want to hide.

Maybe the reason they got rid of the so called "disgruntled employee" is because they needed someplace to stash Theresa Henderson (former secretary of the Mayor and the wife of the CFD Chief) for the uncertainty of who the mayor was going to be.

If that happened to me, I would be "disgruntled" too.

Why would Fox news fabricate this story?? They showed the films of the lady getting off at Ziggies, and Therese refused to talk to the reporter, they interviewed the lady that they now refuse to pick up, why did Chapple refuse to comment on the footage that was taken? They talked about the guy she took to his parole officer, he wasn't 60 OR disabled.

Then what about her saying she took the van to the Indy airport, because she was away on business, when she signed out as on vacation.

It's people like you, that probably deny the fact that Jerry Sandusky is innocent also. And until people wake up, and try to stop corruption, the world will continue to go downhill.

Why would Chapple not answer the question pertaining to Theresa?? And she lied about being on a conference, when her records show she was on vacation. It doesn't surprise me that Fred won't comment. He is going to slide the next month and a half, leaving all unfinished business to our new Mayor. If it happened on his watch, he should finish it, and not leave it for Ms. Brown.

The disgruntled employee got fed up with the wrong doings of Chapple. Afterall, it was the disgruntled employee who approved applications for those not eligible to use the service. She said she had to turn down people who did qualify.

She was the go to person for this, and had enough, saying it had gone on too long. Of course Chapple would fire someone who spoke of the wrong doings of her boss. That's how she abused her powers. The disgruntled employee said the buses were packed, but not all were 60, which is one of the requirements. It's not rocket science why she was fired. I feel for Ms. Brown finishing the dirty work that Mayor Fred won't finish.

FYI...I talked to Chuck Wells, publisher of the Republic. I was told there is an investigation going on. However; whether she is cleared of these allegations, or guilty, it wasn't detemined at this time if it will be in the paper...Wonder if she is a republican or democrat?? LOL

Columbuzz can you confirm something I have heard about Dascal Bunch? My friend is a cop and he said they had to go tell Dascal to stop showing pornography to neighborhood children. Can you confirm this? I live close to Brooks St. and I want to know if he is a sicko.

We heard a story last night that over the weekend he was visited by the police.

We have written him for his side of it and have yet to receive a response.

We were told he was watching porn in his house with the curtains open and some neighborhood kids saw. We heard the police stopped to tell him to be more careful.

We are trying to find out what happened.

We also saw a picture of his house and it appears there are numerous trees in his yard where it would be hard to see from the street. So we don't know what happened.

We find no police report and we don't even see an incident on Brooks St this weekend in The Republic. Which is odd if the police actually went to his house.

Rest assured, we will report what we find when we can confirm what we find.

If you're in the privacy of your own home, we should watch whatever...porn, or fornication of wildlife. We never close our blinds, but our family room is a sunken one, so if anyone watches, they have to be peeping in our windows. I suppose out of consideration, maybe he should close his curtains, but why? He's in his home. I hope no one peeped in our windows at different times, cause the law could be called on us LOL

SOO getting back on TOPIC, just what is pro establishment, AND, I thought comments were supposed to be on TOPIC, and this Bunch story has NOTHING to do with Chapple.
