Girl Freed from Her Bicycle

A reliable source has informed us of an incident yesterday at Canterbury apartments.

It seems a small girl, about 7 or 8 years old, was riding her bike around the apartments where she lives.

Part of the sidewalk drops down a bit and becomes a wheelchair ramp. While riding through this, she had a bike wreck.

When she wrecked, she got her leg stuck in the pedal, the ambulance was called.

When the ambulance arrived they tried to free her, the pain was so intense because her leg was pinched, they had to stop.

The fire department was called and they used the Jaws of Life to remove the pedal and free her.

It was said that Columbus Regional Hospital told her they would replace her bike.

Kudos to our rescue folks and the hospital.

These folks always go above and beyond.
