Tom Jekel joins The Republic as the new/old EDITOR today

Guess what, why didn't the paper tell us about their new editor...? Maybe they are ashamed.

Tom left Times-Reporter located in New Philadelphia, OH, he started at The Republic today.

"When he arrived in Philadelphia, OH from Indiana in 2009, we were navigating a difficult economic time as a country and a publishing industry. Now three years later, people across America are still waiting to be reassured that everything is going to be fine with the American economy."

With that said...

"He be returning to central Indiana to be editor of The Republic in Columbus, Ind. I start Monday, August 20th. I’ll be working for and with people I have known for many years, and much closer to family."

Wonder if he'll be heading up the Republic's 24/7 Kristen Brown Damage Control Center? The last person charged with that responsibility ended up in rehab.
