Pit Bull owner fined 4 times over dogs getting loose, blames reason on being neutered

"A dog's personality is formed more by genetics and environment than by sex hormones."

It wasn't the first time officers were called to the home on 7th and Union where Pit Bulls live and have escaped causing the neighborhood ciaos and fear.

Tigger, a brown Pit has been breaking out of a window secured with a board, and now with a pillow (Wonder how long that will last) many times.

Reports are this Tigger isn't nice at all and will bite you.

Officers didn't tase the dog as it was reported earlier in the week as alleged, however the officer's did mace the dogs several times as self defense; since Tigger has been known to attack.

Once the dog was maced, officers instructed the owner SEVERAL times to take the dog and wash its face, which she didn't do but left him suffer.

This makes the 4th time the family was fined for Public Nuisance, but it is hard telling how many warnings they have gotten prior if any at all.

The best way to think of a pit bull is - they are not to blame for their behavior, it is the owners who make them evil by abusing them in some fashion. You can say they are also like people, you have good ones and bad ones.

Sources say the owners blame Columbus Animal Control for making their dogs mean because they were required to be neutered. The thinking "neutering their pet will cause their animals to be meaner" is a myth.

Neutered dogs are less likely to be aggressive (statistically most dog bites are inflicted by intact males), less likely will stop territorial marking, less likely to become lost due to straying from home in search of a mate AND are more affectionate and more focused on their owner.

In addition to that, neutering dogs or cats prevents testicular cancer.

To sum up, it is the responsibility to keep your animals contained and under control, if you can't do that then don't have animals at all.
