Kristen Brown commiting Political Suicide - disgrace to Republican Party

image

The ppl serving on her council do not even want anything to do with her! She is ridiculous!

Seriously Kristen Brown has made it clear she does not want the city Fire to help the Volunteer Fire dept. Period!!

She told them not to help us out on Hazmat calls which has always been a given from the city... Hazmat has always been taken care by the city when the calls go out!

Kristen has fired everyone in the positions of Risk management saying it was a waste of "HER MONEY" Her words exactly! So now they have no HR People at all... in fact she rehired someone from past yrs that lives in Louisville Kentucky to handle the HR/pay roll rather than keeping these people jobs!

In fact one gentleman that was fired was Rick Caldwell! He worked for the city for yrs served in Iraq 3 times and she fired him said his job was useless to her (RISK MANAGEMENT).

She is a crazy woman whose going to drag your city/town into the ground completely! I am serious when I told you previously that she has been called into Republican Headquarters for disciplinary action!

She was told either get your act together or we will have you removed because she is a disgrace to there party!

What is Political Suicide?

Political suicide is the concept that a politician or political party would lose widespread support and confidence from the voting public by proposing actions that are seen as unfavourable or that might threaten the status quo. A politician who committed political suicide might be forced to resign. A political party could stand to lose followers by deviating greatly from its core values and policies. Another term for such policies are "the third rail". - Wikipedi

I would like to ask that anyone who voted for this 'transparent' mayor ask that the former chief Henderson's hearing be made public - the Henderson's want this hearing to be public - that is because they have nothing to hide - Mayor Brown wants the hearing to be private - does this mean she has something to hide. Please contact your council person, the mayor's office, the Board of Works ( who are appointed by the mayor and will be the only ones allowed in the hearing). Mrs. Henderson also has been told she will not be allowed to attend her husband's hearing. Come on Columbus this has got to stop - someone has to stand up to Mayor Brown - just remember - someone you care about that works for the City could be next on her list. Someone has to say enough is enough. Again, contact anyone you can to get this hearing be made public - because this will go further costing the city and the Henderson's money - they will appeal to the courts - if you know you did nothing wrong - you WILL appeal. Swaim - here is where you can either go along with this crap or you can stand up for what is right - get this hearing made public!! We have a spirit of fear at city hall that you will be next - please help your city employees.

The Republican Party can neither discipline her, nor can they remove her from office. Mayor Oracle would have to leave on her own. Luckily for Columbus, her average length of employment is about 18 months, so we can only hope she stays with that pattern.

At this point, as of today, I feel comfortable in saying that ole Kristen is probably 1 and DONE!

This Mayor is the most divisive, argumentative, micro-managing Mayor I can EVER recall in Columbus. She has shown a propensity to have it her way or the highway ending decades of inter-government cooperation that has made this community run smoothly and efficiently. I do not believe or have knowledge of Ted Ogle calling her in and calling her down. That would be very, very unusual. Ogle simply has NO CONTROL over Kristen. She listens to NO ONE. Swaim et al and the KB lovers who come on here with the thumbs down are probably, secretly wondering what in the hell is going on?

On this I am 90% confident. She will face serious opposition should she attempt to run again. The Republican party will NOT renominate Kristen.

It's a shame but there is no mechanism for a recall under Indiana law.

Who will the Columbus City Republican precinct committee members choose to replace Mayor Kristen Brown when -- following a well-established pattern of job-hopping -- she leaves (voluntarily or otherwise)?

New stories of erratic decisions, profane outbursts (two I’m familiar with – once in front of out of town visitors, the other in front of children), and mental instability are coming out of city hall daily.

Brown is waging disruptive battles without purpose against everyone a Mayor should be trying to work with. Even long-standing Republican allies have given up trying to reason with her (case in point, Ryan Lauer's notable absence from the ambulance fiasco, at a time when Mayor Harvard could really use some County Council support).

We should begin two betting pools right away:

1) First, the number of months KB remains in office. I call 18 months (coincidentally her employment average). Sorry, P101, but this gal is 0.375 and done; and,

2) who will be named to replace her. This is harder and I don't have a clear bet here.

P101 has suggested Commissioner Larry Kleinhenz- who is courageously attempting from the County side to provide a sane alternative to Mayor Oracle's crazed approach to ambulance service. This would be fortunate for him. He would have to give serious thought to what The Republic would do if he ever considered opposing her in the primary.

The one thing we learned from last year’s election is that -- for this new, revised Republic newspaper plaguing our community under the direction of it’s new managing editor, Mark Baldwin – family financial difficulty and personal tragedy are just grist for their front page if it furthers their political aims. The subject of the above article is just a small example of the lasting ill effects to our community brought about in part by The Republic’s misbehavior.

City Councilman Jim Lienhoop is another real possibility. With a Lienhoop in county government and one replacing Brown as mayor, cooperative effort between the county and the city would once again be the norm, to the relief of many. I wouldn’t be the first to suggest that his role in slowing the ambulance decision, like Kleinhenz’s, is the first volley in a future Primary race.

But I would suggest a dark horse for replacing our deeply flawed Mayor – Republican Party Chair Ted Ogle. As unpleasant, corrupt and sleazy as he is, Ogle has a critical advantage in this particular circumstance. He can appoint precinct committee members to fill all vacancies. In essence, he can rig the election in his favor, and do so legally. That would be extraordinarily tempting for a former City Councilman who has, in the past, considered running for Mayor.

So those are some thoughts. I guess I would have to pick Ogle to take Brown’s place just because he has the ambition and would be positioned to take it. Lord help us.

I'm starting to get the impression that the people running this site might not care for Kristen Brown.

Sorry, Losers, Wannabees,Scalftards, Good Ole Boy Republicans, Disgruntled Fred Suck-ups and local Know it alls, NOT, but Mayor Brown isn't going anywhere. You are going to be blessed with her Charm and Grace, in an official capacity, for at least the next 3.5 years.

Walter, you raise some interesting possibilities. Unfortunately, I don't see Mayor Brown leaving before her term is over. With our luck this will be the first job she actually sticks to for the next 3.5 years. Charm and grace Gerald? Those adjectives are laughable at best as she has neither. Walter, it is apparent from conversations I have had as early as last night that local GOP leaders are deeply concerned that there is not just a very real possibility she will not be renominated but that a well named Democrat candidate like Hutch could easily unseat ANY Republican in a general election.

The KB lovers who blindly followed the heroine into City Hall as a savior for the community are beginning to fall off the tree. I have not taken count but have talked to several who are seriously wondering what in the hell is going on. Ted Ogle is well aware that the party has a serious problem at this point as Republicans who hold almost every other office in city and county government are expressing concern and reservation over her attitude of contempt for this community and everyone in it.

Tea Bagger 101 11/07/2012 13:48:37
Kristen Brown is governing exactly like her Tea Bagger buddies want her to. She is in the same governing class as Rand Paul and those in CONgress who have this dig in, refuse to cooperate come hell or high water attitude. This is exactly what the voters of Columbus wanted AND THEY GOT IT! There is something creepy about her and NO I did not vote for her so you can take that into consideration with my comments but something about her is missing.

She was basically a single issue candidate who promised to get rid of some secret network while promising transparency. She promised that we would know what she was doing and how she was doing it. We have seen neither. What he have is a Mayor who doesn't like this community. She is jealous of the success of the previous administrations and is out to prove something. One thing no one has mentioned but is a obvious fact to those of us who have been around her SHE HATES MEN.

Draw what conclusions you want. Take what I say with a grain of salt. Discount me as a Scalftard or Joe Richardson supporter but this woman is NASTY MEAN and we haven't seen anything yet.
