KRISTEN BROWN IS A MORON?

image

Looks like P101 was right again.

City Council says ambulance decisions need oversight and in the Republic's article, Kristen questions why CRH needs to be involved?

You have got to be kidding me!

She IS AN IDIOT! Patients picked up by an ambulance are going to CRH and, if memory serves me correctly, the paramedics perform under the doctors licenses.

KRISTEN BROWN IS A MORON!

Leslie says "She is going to destroy Columbus completely!! She has made it very clear that the city will not be working with the county!! He the hell hires a fire chief outside of there own county/city!! I hope of you who voted her in to office have to pay for your mistake!!"

I'll guaran-dang-tee you the alternative would have been far worse. If Brown is an idiot, her opponent well... whatever is a few steps down from that.

Thanks for the acknowledgment but I would take exception with one comment.Kristen Brown is not a moron. Harvard does not graduate morons. Kristen is an educated idiot in the sense she is a political novice with absolutely no experience in running government. Private corporations are nowhere near the same as municipal government and the same ideology and standards simply do not apply. I will also say there is a 50/50 chance that she will crash and burn after one term. It depends on her ability to learn from her mistakes and her ability to work well with others. I would not give her high marks in either of those categories at this point.

If it is any consolation to the writer (who really needs to learn a better command of the english language) the City Council is trying to decide what to do with the dirty money from the bond that now is useless since the sports complex is trashed. They created a small committee to investigate, but they did not realize there is an oversight committee for that that makes the official decision. A capital projects board.

Kristen Brown made them aware of that and they were clueless.

This was just a matter of getting the decision to the right board. We have like 30 different boards and committees. It's ridiculous.

So....what does this convey about those who did vote for this mayor? Columbus, Indiana the city of morons and idiots being governed by morons and idiots. Since she did win, must be more morons and idiots than than those with acumen. Those who voted for Scalf then have the dubious distinction of losing to morons and idiots.

Transparent 20/06/2012 20:07:57
I agree. Moron just lets her off the hook. Mayor Brown has systematically reduced public input into public affairs and governed by fiat. The only reason she doesn't want CRH in the room is because they disagree with her. If she was interested in fairness, she'd want the Fire Department out. But no, she actually had her Fire Chief write the criteria for selecting a contract the Fire Department will compete for.

I believed in Kristen and so did plenty of other people because she promised more transparency and less catering to buddies and special interests. What we've gotten is closed door governing, petty bickering and vindictiveness, and more cronyism then Armstrong ever dreamed of.

No Kristen's not a Moron. If she is, what are we?

Brilliantly worded "Transparent." I tend to agree from the aspect that what I am hearing from some of KB's biggest supporters is disappointment. Changing the way the city conducts business and operates should not mean dismantling everything for the sake of making political points and make no mistake, this Mayor is keeping a scorecard.

Kristen is extremely vindictive and is creating her own brand of cronyism. She is going after anyone and everyone who supported or appears to have supported the previous administration which, in fairness, is almost everyone in Columbus if you look at former Mayor Armstrong's election margins. She is definitely making her mark on city government but for a lot of the wrong reasons. This Mayor is dangerous and strangely the only thing holding her in line is the equally frightening Columbus City Council.

The possibility of a municipal disaster is very real here. Columbus has all of the elements for a massive failure in the public safety arena or anything else her highness decides needs to be overhauled. To be clear, once again, regarding the ambulance service. Her original plan was to have Seals or another private provider (anyone other than CRH) provide free 911 service for 2-3 years until the Fire Department could get back into the emergency 911 business. In Kristen's world, the money saved from no ambulance subsidy warrants the expansion of the fire departments budget to include emergency paramedic ambulance service.

If she pulls this off, IF, Columbus will be, quite possibly, the ONLY municipality in the United States going BACK INTO the ambulance business with NO overriding public safety issue. This is a Kristen-made publicity attempt to expand the fire departments role and budget unnecessarily and Roger Johnson is a major player. Of course, this is all behind closed doors.

The Watchman Missed It! 20/06/2012 21:36:05
Phil Swaim et al assured us that Kristen Brown was the right candidate and the right time for Columbus. Me thinks the Watchman missed it. Big time! Swaim rallied a very vocal but small group within the Republican party and basically shoved Kristen down everyone's throat. Ted Ogle did not want Kristen as the candidate originally until Kristen's buddy Mitch and Roger Johnson "encouraged" him to support her by convincing him that she had "the ear" of the Republican rank in file. A lot of people voted for her because they believed that the changes she offered were not really going to be that bad and dismantling the good ole boy network was something we all needed. We never dreamed that her actual goal is to undo everything that has made the community work and has worked for it. Someone suggested recently that she is 1 and Done. I agree.

CRH as the ambulance provider is a clear conflict of interest.
Ms. Brown is way ahead of most of you on this one. She's fixing what is broken.
CRH running the ambulance service is like an appliance dealer telling you that you cannot have anyone else than him, install your new appliance.
