Goodwill Industries have become MONEY HUNGRY TYRANTS

I appreciate you posting this blog. You have no idea how big of a rip-off and SCAM Goodwill Industries really is..

I live in South Carolina and I've done a ton of research and know a lot about Goodwill and the inner workings of what they are really about.

They CLAIM to not only hire disabled people who can't really find jobs elsewhere, but the way Goodwill works the system is, they not only get money for every employee they hire, cuz of their 501(c)3 status, but they get even more money if the employee is documented "disabled".

On top of this..if the "disabled" employee cannot perform according to the high production standards (and btw the stores in my area have to be staffed with minimum 60% disabled), then Goodwill does a "time study" to determine what the disabled employee can accomplish.

This means if they cannot produce ,then Goodwill can LEGALLY pay these poor disabled employees SUB-MINIMUM WAGES.

According to the Fair Labor Laws which were updated in 1986. They can pay even $1.00 AN HOUR!

Ever since they've gone to their "Big Box" store concept and changing it to "retail stores" Goodwill Industries have become MONEY HUNGRY TYRANTS who will stop at nothing to make the all mighty dollar.

In my area they do nothing for the community, all they do is make millions and open new stores that cost a ton of money each. 'Its horrendous what they do and they totally mistreat and abuse their employees even to the ones that aren't disabled.
