Liberty Tax mascot bullied by group of kids - Speak up Columbus

Bullying comes in many forms and picking on someone in a costume is no different than doing it if they weren't wearing a costume.

This type of behavior is only funny to those doing it and is very offensive. If you see this or anything you think is bullying... stop and say something.

Just try to image whomever is being bullied as a loved one you wouldn't want to be treated this way. On Facebook a post talks about bullying here in Columbus with someone who is paid to dress up. This is awful behavior.

"Dear Columbus friends. At the corner of 25th and Taylor where Liberty Tax, Yee Kee's are stands a person dressed up as the Statue of Liberty.

I was driving home one day and the person was out there working. I noticed a group of 5 kids going by but they looked like they were up to something. Whenever the person in the suit would look away to wave, a boy would come up and poke the person.

By time I turned around, I found out there was a girl in the suit and was getting upset. I stayed by her until she went back into the tax place and the kids left.

The whole time people were right there at the intersection next to the whole thing not doing anything. What is wrong with this?

Come on Columbus. We are better than that. Stand up to those people. Its called bullying and I do not tolerate it!"
