Cheer Fund could use Semi Trailer but the City "Could" help with building... Vague again

Earlier we brought you the story about the Cheer Fund being "Evicted" from the location used for the Cheer Fund.

While the word "Evicted" is harsh, it ultimately means the same thing but in a more effective approach to gain attention to the fact we need to HELP the Cheer Fund if the City won't.

We said "Well, apparently the city isn't in the landlord business when it comes to freeloaders like firefighters and poor kids."

We was then attacked the next day and labeled "Rumor-Mongols" on WCSI 1010 website.

Stating that "Mike Wilson said this was coming!"

Now in a new article on The Republic's website Mike said "they knew they might not be able to stay." and “We were aware this was a possibility,” it is reported the Cheer Fund operates from a different building ALMOST every year...

  1. In 2009 - Was in old National Linen Building and used Semi
  2. In 2010 - Was in REMC building on 2nd
  3. In 2011 - Was in Waste Water Treatment plant
  4. In 2012 - Maybe in REMC building again... "Could"

Do we see a pattern here? Might, Possibility, Almost - these imply doubt it won't happen or the hope it doesn't happen. IMO.

The City has offered a new home temporarily back in the old REMC building, but The City wants to "LOOK" into leasing it for revenue. Another key word there, LOOK doesn't mean act. Doesn't mean do, doesn't mean will.

Correction... The Republic reported "The Cheer Fund could stay during the holidays, Kristen Brown said, but would have to leave after that so the Redevelopment Commission, can look into leasing the property for revenue."

More skirting around the question.

Can they or can’t they stay in the old REMC building? Could implies that a decision hasn't been made and or the Cheer Fund has yet to accept the new/old location. I'm going to say it hasn't been decided yet and was just mentioned to make it appear the City will help.

You don't know how the Cheer Fund works. I'm pretty sure the co-chair of the Cheer Fund does. Columbus will listen to the Cheer Fund, not a rumor-monger (not mongol. please get your quote right, at least.) site like this.

Phil is all over Columbuzz after singing the site's praises during the campaign for Mayor when his gal Kristen got so much positive coverage.

What's wrong Phil? The spotlight a little bright these days? Strange. Now Phil Swaim is the administration's lap-dog and believes everything he hears and probably reads the Repugnant cover to cover. Where's the transparency Phil?
