Channel 8 arrives in Columbus to talk about School Lock Down

image

Doesn't take long for news to travel fast in today's world.

Channel 8 was seen leaving the BCSC administration building and then headed downtown to talk with police.

We pulled up and told the woman the students name, give her a heads up! :)

They told us they were doing a story about the Lock down that occurred when a student, 19, showed other students a hand gun. Parents weren’t notified other than through media like Columbuzz, The Republic, Facebook and text message.

The school system should have a system in place to notify parents of each step of the action to keep the panic down. Not communicating what is really happening causes alarm for panic. Knowing is better than not knowing.

Great job by the Columbus Police Department. I agree that a system for warning parents needs to be put into place.

Great communication between the CPD and BOTH schools, as he had classes at both schools. Locked down, til they found in a classroom at East. Supposedly no weapon was found, despite claims two students claimed he showed it. He must have ditched it or hid it. The news around 1200ish didn't say if they had searched his car yet.
