Police seached Columbus Man's home yesterday after the death of Gary Brown

The justice system in America is built on the idea that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. - Phil Swaim

A shooting that took place at a home, 3721 Balsam CT where Gary Brown was shot has police searching for the weapon.

(Image Below) the photo Joe Harpring took of the glass door in todays Republic shows the glass on the OUTSIDE of the door, this leads us to think the glass was busted from the inside of the home not the outside. Was there a struggle or was the glass door broken after Gary was shot?

That doesn't mean the bullet didn't go through the door, but it's possible there was a struggle prior the weapon going off.

One source who lives on the cul-de-sak and served in the Armed Forces said "police indicated the victim had been shot through a door" - Could this have been said because the door was busted and resembled being shot out? Glass from a broken window covers the ground near the front door at 3721 Balsam Court on Friday morning. A Greensburg man was shot to death at the northern Columbus home.

A home belonging to Clifton H Cook was searched as police believe he is connected to the crime some how.

When the 911 call came in at 1:30am Friday morning neighbors reported hearing 4 gun shots, but only one hit Gary, and bullets are reported to have hit neighbors parked cars out front.

One person at the scene said "Vehicles belonging to neighbors living on Balsam CT were considered part of the crime scene and the police fingerprinted the neighbors to rule them out as a suspect.

Police are just waiting to prove it was the BMW driving accountant from Cummins...and they have no other suspects and aren't looking for anyone else."

We talked to a source who said Clifton Cook drives a BMW and works at Cummins and who also said the dispute was over a woman named Amber.

Is Clifton Cook the man police talked to yesterday who lawyered up and was released?

A source said "Police told a neighbor an accountant for Cummins was taken in and lawyered up and was released"

We talked with Phil Swaim who said the shooting is "rumor that it was self defense", maybe that is the case but the information we have now is police are searching for a weapon and no charges have been filed but prosecutor Nash says "police have a person of interest and that they were aware of his whereabouts."

So what happened...

Will the police do detective work?

Will the glass on the outside of the door tell a different story?

Who is Amber?

Why was Gary shot, was it murder, or self defense?

Was the BMW at the scene Clifton's?

Will they find the gun?

Why were 4 shots fired or heard, was it a shoot out between 2 men?
