A van was involved in an accident today causing it to lose control and slam into the side of a home at 1107 Central. More info as we get it.

Driver hospitalized after Chrysler Caravan explodes into flames when it hit a pole

We received the photo showing the aftermath of the van which burned after it hit a pole in Amity today. We're told the driver is hospitalized but will recover fully from his injuries. His name hasn't been released but the accident did shut down a portion of Highway 31 while crews cleaned the area.

Sources said "31 is down to one lane near Amity. Van hit pole and caught fire. Many sheriffs there" and also "Van hit a pole and went up in flames..." if you're near the area, please find and alternate route.

For the second time in the same day a FedEx semi has crashed on Highway 65

Sometime around 3:45am 3/8/13 a crash involving two semis closed northbound I-65 near Seymour. Accident investigators say for some unknown reason a semi rear ended...

Concrete pillar saves Great Clips from total destruction when driver confuses gas for brake.

Sources say an Indian woman driving a Toyota Prius confused the pedals in her car this evening causing her to reverse into a concrete pillar. The pillar was directly in-front of Great Clips hair salon, the impact caused the bricks to bust the window out of the salon. The woman's name hasn't been released yet, but we're told no injuries happened. ...

Collision at Walmart 46

Everyone is fine this accident was my best friends husband and her son, a lady was going 40 and hit his truck. Her son hit his head pretty hard on the window causing him to have a bump develop on his head, reasoning for EMTs. The van in the picture was not involved. It was a red truck. - commentor on CM Facebook page.
