							<description><![CDATA[The Christian Church changed Easter from a celebration of Spring and ‘rebirth’ to the Celebration of Jesus’ rebirth.  It was originally a Pagan celebration, one named after the Goddess Eostre.  Yep, you guessed it, she was/is the Goddess of Spring. She was an ancient Greek goddess. It was believed that every year Eostre return to Earth after a long, cold winter and brought with her the light and warmth of Spring.  Because of this, ancient Greeks held festivals to welcome Eostre and the onset of Spring.
