I think a person should be presumed innocent until proven guilty. Hard to pass judgement hearing only your side of the story. You are considered a biased party, therefore your version may, or may not, be accurate.
Dogs have been known to escape teathers, especially when they are not accustomed to being restrained in such a way. There is also such a thing as coincidence.
Your neighbor would be under my suspicion too, but to post people's names, and essentially accuse them of wrong doing in published form without hard evidence, may get you into trouble.
I sincerely hope your pet is found and returned to you, but be careful who you implicate, with nothing more than circumstantial evidence.
BTW, in Indiana, it is legal to own and carry a weapon in open view, with the proper permits.
You have already admitted to being non-compliant with the law, by letting your pets run loose prior to the disappearance.
I would suggest that you and your neighbors try to get along. If you must live next to each other, things may get much worse without compromise and understanding on both sides.
Good luck.

Yea, it's legal to carry a weapon if you have a permit, and yea you are supposed to make sure your pets are in their own yard, but does anyone else have a problem with two State Police employees acting like bullies and threatening children and pets (I will drop your dog) - when you say this to a 16 year old child you are threatening the child. Someone needs to let the State Police about their bully employees.

My wife once pulled out in front of a drunk driver...true story....she caused the accident and when the police arrived she told them that. Do you know who was at fault? Him for operating a vehicle drunk. If he hadn't been breaking the law then he wouldn't have been there.

If you had been obeying the leash law then you wouldn't be here. If your dog escaped it's not your neighbors fault. I feel for your loss but you have to take responsibility for his escape. You have already admitted that he has escaped before and yet this guy is the bad guy.

Any animal can pose a danger and must be controlled at all times. Suspect him all you want but please don't attack him with absolutely no evidence other than that he came to your house to give you adequate warning that if you cannot control your dog someone will.

If he ran out in the road and gets hit is it the drivers fault? I feel sorry for your loss but however the story ends it probably started with the dog got out of its enclosure and that means that you are responsible for this problem and not your neighbor.

This is only ONE side of the story. You don't know what was said. You were not there.
Also, even this side of the story doesn't say that the female acted like a bully or did any threatening.
You are only feeding unsubstantiated accusation by creating your own version of the story when you have nothing to do with it.
We DO know, by their own admission, that the author of this story has violated city ordinance. That doesn't seem to matter to you, which makes you prejudiced.
If you are called to jury duty, are you going to decide guilt or innocence after only hearing one side?
Heaven help us if there are more like you out there...and sadly, I know there are.
