The hospital definitely shouldn't have a voting seat or play in the contract just the approval of it

Observer "Kristen and Phil Swaim do not want public input outside of City Council meetings probably because most of Columbus is uneducated compared to our Harvard educated idiot. Swaim has commented about how many boards and how much oversight there is as if it is too much. Kristen Brown would be a dictator and govern by decree if not for the Council. There are clearly some divisions at City Hall as people are starting to realize that the monster we elected to fix things is going to be hard to reign in. "

Well of course they shouldn't. That would be like a criminal getting to vote on whether he is guilty or not. Being that the hospital is one of the companies bidding on the job no they need to sit out.

Shame on you, Swaim. You've been to council meetings for years, so you know that the statement "We never had that under armstrong, at least not within his last 4 years" is a lie. Indeed, about the only time debate has recently been cut off was during the recycling debate, when Mayor Fred was out of town and it was Council President Martha Myers who shut down the public input. Armstrong and the last council went further, with frequent public meetings on issues impacting the community.

And further congrats to the Republicans in your Precinct for soundly rejecting your bid for party committeeman by a decisive 3-to-1 margin.

No, shame on Fred for doing exactly what I said he did. I attended City Council meetings under Fred and am reporting exactly what I observed.

And a hearty congratulations on my State Delegate bid is in order. I believe I beat out 3 Ogles (big names in county party politics). So I see that as a great victory and am thankful to my fellow party members for casting their votes.

Joe Bill Whipker has been in the precinct for a looonnngg time. So it's purely name recognition for the reason he won. I was putting my name in to give fellow Republicans an alternative. I wasn't running against Joe Bill Whipker. I was just running for the office to serve. Fellow party members clearly are happy with their current representation in the County committee. I support them and will support my committeeman in his efforts in my precinct.
